Spring Airlines Japan (IJ)

Spring Japan (formerly Spring Airlines Japan) commenced domestic operations on 01-Aug-2014 from its hub at Tokyo Narita Airport, and launched international services on 13-Feb-2016. The carrier is a JV with China's Spring Airlines. In May-2021, Japan Airlines Group (JAL) confirmed plans to make Spring Airlines Japan a consolidated subsidiary in Jun-2021. In Jul-2021, Japan Airlines (JAL) made an additional investment in Spring Airlines Japan to increase its stake in the LCC to two thirds, while Spring Airlines' stake will reduce from 56% to 30%. Spring Airlines Japan rebranded as Spring Japan, effective 01-Nov-2021.
